Capt. Akin George
Captain James Akinlawon George is the Managing Director at ANAP Business Jets Limited (ANAP Jets), a private jet operator that specializes in fractional ownership and aircraft management in Lagos, Nigeria.
He has over 27 years of experience in the Nigeria Aviation industry where he has held a number of senior executive and technical roles as well as being a highly experienced commercial aircraft and business jet pilot.
Prior to joining ANAP Jets, he spent a significant part of his career working for Aero Contractor Nigeria where he rose through the ranks and held numerous positions from his early days as a flight safety officer to serving as the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of the company.
He holds a Masters in Aviation Management from the prestigious Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, where he also received a Bachelor’s in Science in Aeronautical Science. Furthermore, he has completed numerous aviation related courses at other institutions such as the Aviation Safety Officers course at the University of Southern California, Air Transport Business and Management from University of Westminster, Managing Aviation Policy and Regulation from The IATA Training and Development Institute in Switzerland.
Capt. George is type-rated on several commercial aircraft and business jets manufactured by Boeing, Bombardier, Falcon and Embraer. He is still an active pilot with over 10,000 hrs. flight experience.
